What exactly is the best marketing strategy ever?

Email Marketing!! Yes that is correct email marketing.

Building a list of email subscribers can be the single most powerful thing
you can do for your online business.

In my opinion email marketing will never die out. Why? Because you need an
email address to set up accounts  for just about everything.

1. To set up an online bank account.
2. To set up a Netflix account.
3. To open up a Facebook account.

And just about any other account you can think of.

Even the major companies understand the power of email marketing.

When was the last time you bought something at Macy’s or Bestbuy and
they didn’t ask for your email?

Then when Father’s day or any major holiday comes around you get an email
from these companies with Special Father’s Day Sales!

If you are not building your list of subscribers you are shooting yourself in the foot.

Below I will cover what is needed to start building your email list.

What is needed to build a list properly.

A. The first thing you will need is a domain name.

This should be related to the niche you are deciding to enter or if you
are wanting to brand yourself along with your business you can always
use www.YourName.com

There are two main places to get domain names for around $10 a piece.

Godaddy.com and Namecheap.com. I personally prefer using Namecheap
simply because they offer a lot less upsells from the begining of the sale to
the end which saves a lot of time.

One thing they both offer is discount codes. You can do a simple google search
for “namecheap coupon code for [enter month and year]” The coupon code will
save you about $1 per domain. The savings may not seem like much right now
but once you begin buying multiple domains you will notice the savings.

As the old saying goes a penny saved is a penny earned.

B. Hosting.

Once you have your domain name picked out you will need to set up a hosting
account. I highly recommend using Hostgator.com. They are very reliable, have
excellent customer service and very inexpensive. You can get their baby package
for about $8/month.

If you do not know what hosting is it’s bascially where all the files for your website
will be stored.

C. Autoresponder.
Having an autoresponder is the single most powerful tool when building a list.
Quite frankly it CANNOT be done without one. This is HOW you will collect your
email addresses.

An autoresponder service is what allows you to create all the capture forms you
will need. A capture form is basically where you “Enter Your Name And Email.”
I am almost sure you have seen a capture form before (aka opt-in form).

An autoresponder also allows you to set up emails that will be sent
at specific time intervals specified by you. For example you can write
an email to be sent to your email list and schedule it to be sent 2 hours
from now, 7 days from now, or even 3 months from now. However you
set it up. This is where your money is made.

I highly recommend using Aweber.com they are very newbie friendly
and easy to work with. A simple account with Aweber will run you about
$19/month BUT worth every penny once you understand the power of
having your own email list.

If you are on a budget Mailchimp.com is a FREE service but I can’t say much
about their service since I have never used them.

D. Your FREE compelling offer.

This is where the magic happens. You will need something of high value
so people feel like they “need” what you have to offer and are willing to
trade their email address for your free gift.

An easy way to come up with your free gift is to think about what problem
people are having in your niche and create a product to solve their problem.
This can be in the form of an Ebook, Video Training series, Audio Recording,
Software, etc.

This allows you to instantly set  yourself up as an expert in your field in the
eyes of your subscribers. It can also build instant trust; both which are HUGE
later on down the road when you are recommending a product to your email list.

Some of you might be thinking your gift has to be this 30-45 page ebook or a
complete 20 video training series. It DOESN’T! It can be a short 7-10 page
ebook or 3-5 videos JAM packed with value.

Value weighs heavier then length in this aspect.

E. Squeeze Page.

Once you have your FREE product it is now time to set up your squeeze page.

I am a huge fan of WordPress and creating squeeze pages with
Wordpress. I use a theme called OptimizePress.

OptimizePress is a fully customizable theme that creates high converting,
very professional squeeze pages, sales pages, product launch pages with in
15 minutes. Literally!

Everything is “click to activate.”

If you want to save a lot of time I would highly recommend picking up a
copy of OptimizePress.

There is one more crucial step when it comes to building your list.
That is to build a relationship with your list! Earn their trust.

This is where many will blow it! Provide value and additional tips and
tricks to help your subscribers BEFORE you ever try to sell anything!
Value them as your subscriber and do everything in your power to really
help them.

A great way to see what to do and what NOT to do is sign up for other
experts email list in your niche and see what they are doing. Model the ones that
grab your attention and provide value and learn from the ones who
only spam you with affiliate offers.

This can make or break your business! If you come off as a spammer not
only will you not make any sales but you will get A LOT of people to
unsubscribe from your list.

When you start building your list and develop a great relationship with your list
you will be able to make an income on demand by simply sending an email to
your subscribers. That is when things get REALLY FUN!

So again building an email list and developing that relationship is the most powerful
thing you can do for your business!
